The team at Fox Creek Family Dental offers two orthodontic treatments to help you enjoy all the benefits of straighter teeth and a more confident smile. Traditional Orthodontics

Conventional metal braces have been trusted for decades to realign imperfect bites and create smiles that look and function like they should. Our team provides traditional orthodontics for patients dealing with mild to severe alignment issues. Over the course of 18 months on average, slight pressure is placed on different parts of the bite to gradually shift teeth into the proper position. A custom-fitted retainer holds the teeth in the proper alignment after treatment with braces is complete.

Invisalign

Of course, many patients are reluctant to live for several months with visible braces. Invisalign provides a clear alternative that can improve a number of orthodontic issues. The system actually uses the same orthodontic principles as conventional braces, but your experience throughout the Invisalign treatment is totally different. Using a series of custom-fitted trays, Invisalign works by placing gradual pressure on misaligned teeth to slowly bring them into the proper position.

For patients who wish for a subtle orthodontic option, the benefits of Invisalign are many. They include:

  • Ease of use: Eat what you like and brush and floss with ease thanks to the removable trays.
  • Convenience: Visits to the dentist are reduced with largely self-directed Invisalign. Simply switch to the next aligner in the series every two weeks and visit us every month and a half to progress throughout your orthodontic treatment.
  • Comfort: Invisalign’s smooth plastic aligners are unlikely to rub the blisters or sores that are common with conventional metal braces.
